Our dogs experience anxiety and pain the same as we do. As parents to dogs, it’s hard to know the best way to ease their suffering when they can’t explain to us what’s going on. Fortunately, now you can use Cannanda CB2™ products to ease pain and anxiety in dogs the same way we humans do! While pain might be more obvious (e.g., limping when they have arthritic joints) anxiety can be more difficult to recognize. Before we discuss how to use Cannanda CB2™ products with them, let’s first talk about what anxiety looks like in dogs.
It’s common for dogs to experience situational anxiety as a reaction to environmental changes like thunderstorms, strangers, going to the vet, moving or other travel. They can also experience behavioural anxiety; like separation anxiety.
Some dogs might have high anxiety as a result of prior trauma or mistreatment that they experienced before coming into your life. And just like humans, dogs can experience more generalized anxiety that has a negative overall impact on their lives. As responsible parents to our dogs, we want to find the best and healthiest solutions to their health issues, and Cannanda’s new Dog-Ease CB2™ products are a great solution for most dogs.
What does anxiety look like in our pets?
Symptoms of dog anxiety include:
- Pacing
- Panting
- Whimpering
- Trembling
- Aggression
- Urinating or defecating on the floor despite being house trained
- Nervous licking of the lips
- Loss of appetite
Other symptoms include a loss or reduction of appetite, weight loss, excessive vocalisation, lethargy and restlessness. Thankfully, Cannanda’s Dog-Ease CB2™ products can work on all of these symptoms and give your dog some much-needed relief.
What is Cannanda Dog-Ease CB2™?
Cannanda’s CB2™ is a multi-award-winning, physician-formulated blend of terpenes, developed to target the CB2 receptors within the endocannabinoid system.[1] Terpenes are naturally-occurring compounds found in most plants. CB2™ terpenes do not produce the intoxicating “high” commonly associated with some plant medicines, and therefore, is non-toxic for your dog at suggested usage rates. This is because this blend was developed to specifically target CB2 receptors (responsible for many of the health benefits associated with plant medicine use) without activating CB1 receptors (responsible for the intoxication).
However, not all terpenes are safe for dogs. In fact, some are toxic at even small doses. This is why Cannanda CB2™ ensures that those terpenes that are toxic for dogs are not used.
Other Oils vs CB2™ Terpenes
The vast majority of users will find that CB2™ works well on its own (assuming their dog’s body has sufficient amounts of CB2 receptors and they’re taking the right dose of the product); however, many dogs using other oils find the addition of Cannanda CB2™ greatly improves their response to them. The combination of CB2™ with other oils can be a therapeutic power punch against what ails your dog—and should be a serious consideration for any dog already using oils but not getting the expected results.
Even if they’re getting great results from plant medicine oils, however, adding CB2™ can help get the same results at a smaller dose. Overall, this can help save you money. Since the end benefits of CB2™ and other oils are very comparable, switching solely to CB2™ could bring about the same results at a fraction of the cost.
Further, from a safety point-of-view, toxicology data for plant medicine oils in dogs is still sparse, which is why many veterinarians still do not officially endorse these products. Terpenes, on the other hand, have a long history of use in various animals and have been approved for use in feed for various reasons. The safety of these terpenes in dogs is well-documented, which is not something we can say for other oils, and as mentioned earlier, Dog-Ease CB2™ specifically avoids the use of problematic terpenes.
Now with a safe, legal, and inexpensive alternative, more and more people are choosing Dog-Ease CB2™ for its wide array of health benefits–not just pain or anxiety.
How to use Cannanda Dog-Ease CB2™
With two unique products, administering CB2™ terpenes to your dog has never been easier! Dosing is based on body weight for your dog as follows:
For every 25 lbs of body weight:
- Dog-Ease CB2™ terpene blend: 1 drop/day, directly into their mouth or mixed into their food. This product can also be used topically for wounds, sores, or other injuries—just gently rub a drop or two into the affected area.
- Dog-Ease CB2™ Seed Oil: 1 tsp/day (5 mL) mixed into their food.
All Dog-Ease CB2™ products are vegan-friendly, and free from animal by-products, gluten, dairy, soy, corn, sugar, GMO, and artificial flavours and colours.
What to Expect
Although we expect to see great results similar to what thousands of humans have reported, our dogs are as unique as we are, so it is normal to see different results from one dog to the next. Some show almost immediate relief while others take a few days before they start to see effects.
Try taking notes (or even short videos) of your dog’s behaviour prior to and after dosing to note the changes and find the best dose for them. Once you find that dose that works best for their body, continue with that dose on a daily basis for ongoing health benefits.

Footnote:
[1] The endocannabinoid system (ECS) functions as the master regulator of homeostasis—balance within the body—and found within every tissue and organ. It’s made up of two main cannabinoid receptors (called CB1 and CB2) and “endocannabinoids” (which are produced by the body and mimics compounds from plant medicines). When the normal function of these tissues or organs are disrupted, that specific area of the body produces more receptors, which are then activated by our endocannabinoids to bring things back into balance.
